Absolutely love Dr Felt!  He does a fantastic job and doesn't try to sell you things you don't need.  His staff is always friendly, efficient, and helpful.  We moved here about a year ago and my son went to a different dentist the first time who took extra X-rays (other than the normal ones) he didn't need and tried to charge him $900 because insurance wouldn't pay for the unnecessary X-rays. I recently needed some work done. I hadn't been to a dentist in a long time. The scariest thing for me was finding a good one in my network. A good friend who has had extensive work done by Dr Felt recommended him. The staff is friendly & professional. Dr Felt was awesome. I’m a pretty anxious person, going to the dentist really freaks me out. I had some pain in my jaw and Dr. Felt was so empathetic and informative. Honestly the kindest medical professional I’ve ever interacted with. I think he might have single-handily helped me with my dentist phobia! Thank you Dr. Felt! Also his staff are very nice too! Doctor Felt is a great guy and an awesome dentist and his staff are friendly and very efficient.  He was able to help me out with a bad abscess in an emergency situation. I had a food-trapping problem between my teeth that used to bother me every time I ate. Dr. Felt fixed it with just a simple filling — and now even shredded meat doesn’t get stuck anymore! Dr. Felt is the most genuine and caring dentist I have ever seen. I started going to Eric when his office was on 2nd South and 10th East. Over the years, Dr. Felt has done all of my cleanings, fillings, and root canals. I have extremely sensitive teeth, and he has never once caused the toe curling pain that previous hygienists and other dentists have. He doesn't recommend unnecessary treatments. He takes his time, respects your time, and truly listens, it doesn't matter how silly or ridiculous you feel your problem is (weather tooth for me) he discusses your solutions and ailments in an honest and down-to-earth manner. I bring my family here because I trust him and have been so grateful for him for about 15 years now.
Further... I moved to Wyoming and am still traveling to Salt Lake for all of our family dentist needs. Dr. Felt and his team are the best. You can't go wrong.

Dr. Eric Felt is the best! I don’t even need to hear from others about their great experiences they may have at other places because his place is the best. I know it. His goal is to please his customers as they become part of his “family”. I dread the day he will retire but he is ensuring me he is going to be around for a little longer. I started coming to Dr.Felt in 2010 because a coworker recommended me at the time. At first, I was very scared to come to Dr. felt because the two dentist that I seen before him would not believe me that I couldn’t get numb easily and was in pain.
So I was terrified but Doctor Felt has a very calm, kind demeanor He also talks to you And listens to your concerns and how your feeling also he is a pretty funny guy and always helps me Calm my nerves.
Over the years Doctor Felt has never shown me anything but true kindness.
Him and his Incredible receptionist Erin Go above and beyond to help their patients. I called two weeks ago and I was in a lot of pain. Erin got me in right alway also  I had to come back today I got a crown put on and a cavity filled and needed a mouthguard. I knew  With the extra time It took my mouth to get numb  he  wouldn’t  have time to make an mouthguard  until Monday but what did Dr. felt do he stayed late And took the time to make me a mouthguard and text me  to come pick it up to help me so I wouldn’t be in pain over the weekend.
It’s kindness like this that makes you really you know him and his staff really care.  I know it’s weird to say, but the truth is I love my dentist and all of his staff they all make me feel like family 🤗

Dr Felt really is "my kind of dentist"! All members of our family have been seeing Dr Felt for over 10 years. He is just as popular with the kids as he is with the adults. We've moved since we first started with Dr Felt, none-the-less, we now drive across town to see him! His focus is your dental health, not his paycheck! Dr Felt was my dentist for about 10 years prior to moving away from the SLC area.  I found him due to a dental emergency, and was very impressed with him.  He was absolutely stellar. I began having EXTREME pain and it was a holiday weekend and I couldn’t get into my regular dentist or a couple of others I tried. My friend said to call her dentist, Dr. Felt, so I called not expecting to be able to get in for a few days. They fit me right in and Dr. Felt diagnosed a root canal gone bad. This was on a Thursday. He did what he could to lessen my pain and treat me with an antibiotic. He also made himself available to me over the weekend because I was in so much pain. Dr Felt got me on my way to recovery and out of pain and took my “dental emergency” seriously.
I am back today for a check up and cleaning with my favorite new dentist. I’ve always been particular about what dentist I will see and had been with my pervious provider for 20 years.
An added perk of seeing Dr Felt is that it is liking having dental work done in an art museum. The environment is so clean and calming and the staff is friendly and competent. I highly recommend Dr Felt for your dental needs.

My mother has had many dentists over the last 30 years; Dr. Felt was able to personally attend to all dental hygiene work and is capable of performing lab work to make denture adjustments on-site without the need for sending them back and forth to a lab. His artistic talent is also evident in his work, and the office is a pleasant and relaxing environment, which makes the entire dental experience much more comfortable. I needed to find a new dentist as my previous one sold their business and left.  I used proximity and reviews to find Dr. Felt and his team.
From the very first phone call, the process and experience has been wonderful and easy.  Working with this office and team, they treat you like family.  I've had to cancel and reschedule appointments from being sick and there was no problem with that.  Also needing to be seen quickly and last minute due to tooth pain and they squeezed me in.
I needed to get my first crown and Dr. Felt took care of me and then some.  I have slightly sensitive teeth, so I was experiencing some sensitivity with my temporary crown.  He called and texted me himself to check on me to see how I was doing and what we could do to make me more comfortable while waiting for the permanent crown. You know when meet someone loves their profession and makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed? That is Dr. Felt. Comfortable and relaxed at a dentist's? You think I am lying... I must be a neighbor, niece, a bot. Nope!! Actual patient for many moons and happily refer friends and family to this man and know they too will receive the same care. I was referred to Dr. Felt from my friend who has been going to him for years. I was having some problems with my tooth and had previously gone to two different dentist to figure out what was wrong and they basically told me nothing was wrong. After explaining to Dr. Felt on what was going on, his listened and was able to find  and fix the problem I was having. My moms friend recommended him… And now I 110% recommend him too. A warm welcome from the moment you step out that door, paperwork was handled quickly… and look, I am one of those patients that puts her earbuds in at visits… I didn’t need to.… straight forward about the issue and he made it easy to understand. Excellent pricing… I really felt well taken care of (heh).I was in a lot of pain, and they made space for me within 3 days.

Dr. Felt is a class A dentist. I've seen him for 18 years. There was a period where I didn't see him for a couple years due to an insurance problem on my end and that period helped me appreciate him as a dentist a great deal. He has a warm, personable approach, friendly staff, a beautiful, conveniently located office and goes above and beyond every visit to provide knowledgeable and skilled dental care. I ended up here after looking for a way to say thank you to Dr. Felt after my recent visit.  I recently went to Dr Felt for a checkup and a cleaning since I had not gone since before the pandemic.  He found a couple of cavities and fixed a broken crown (I think I cracked it with chewing ice). with his usual great skill and care.  he warned me that one cavity was pretty deep and near the nerve so it might be sensitive for a few days..  he was right as usual but I got nervous and asked him about it ...  He was sure that there was nothing wrong just too soon to tell and to let it settle in.  Sure enough, I woke up 2 days later completely pain free.  I emailed him a note of thanks but I really wanted to thank him for taking care of me since 1992 when I had an infected tooth and a friend referred me to him as " he is a really nice guy" and he really is!  Dr Felt has always treated me like a good friend and has genuinely cared about me  since the early 90's and has gone above and beyond when I needed help fast several times.  I also love the fact that he really cares that I don't feel any pain during a procedure and takes his time making sure that I cant feel anything before proceeding to get the job done.  I also love his new office suite , its very modern and it makes me feel very comfortable going there , getting the best dental care available anywhere.  If you want a dentist that actually cares about you as a person and is the best at what he does, go see Dr. Eric Felt. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Felt’s for more than a decade. He does great dental work at a fair price. He is friendly and knowledgeable as is his staff. I started with him when he was located in Downtown Salt Lake and have stayed with him after his move to Cottonwood Heights because he does such good work. I went to get a cleaning from Dr. Felt in September of 2020 for the first time and he was very thorough and even performed a receding gum line check which I've never had before. The cleaning and x-rays went well and he offered to fill a cavity immediately afterward but I declined since I wanted to try and fight it off. He was very personable and talked about a place to find fossils by the great Salt Lake. After I left, he sent a pin drop identifying the location where I could take my children who I've taken fossil hunting before at U-Dig fossils.

I came back May of 2021 to get that cavity filled. He showed me the x-ray from last year and I asked if it was something that I could fight with good oral care. He said no and showed me the extent of the cavity, although not huge was not accessible to good oral care. He also confirmed the previous dental care was done well which made me feel good. He had to drill a previous filling to excise the small cavity that was partially underlying the filling.

I told him I didn't like shots and particularly shots to the gum. He offered laughing gas but I told him I had never needed it. He mentioned that I didn't seem like the type that would need it. He used techniques that didn't cause pain that I could notice despite my anxiety and sweating palms.

The procedure went well. What surprised me was that the nerve block he administered was sufficient to eliminate pain from the drill work but subtle enough that it wore off in 4 hours, in time to have a meal. I expected my gums to be bleeding and sore but to my surprise my gums were totally fine. I have always had bruising a bleeding a pressure soreness after dental work and this time I didn't for the first time.

This experience made me a customer who will continue to return for these kinds of procedures. I highly recommend him.

His staff are equally competent, and kind. They penciled me in on a cancelled appointment for the next day and they had time for a filling but were willing to do a cleaning as well with the time slot that was available.

My family has been seeing Dr. Felt since we were kids, and there’s a reason he’s still our dentist. Every time I’ve gone in, it’s been comfortable, and such a good experience. Amazingly honest and caring, Dr Felt and his team Erin and Riley, do an amazing job in caring for their patients. They took care of  a broken tooth and a long neglected mouth , while not making me feel like just another way to make  a buck. Very down to earth and fun people with genuine concern and caring for their patients ! They even helped me to deal with my fear of needles ! I cant Say enough good about my experience !

After a bad experience at a previous dentist, I was nervous to even go into a dental office. However, Dr. Felt made me feel very safe and listened to, and was careful with my sensitive teeth and severe TMJ. All I can say is Dr. Felt and his amazing staff Erynn and Ryley are the ABSOLUTE BEST there is.  I had met with a couple local dentist leading up to Dr. Felt and in both cases recieved an estimate for roughly $4K-$6K... None of which included the scope of work or procedure I specifically requested.  Dr. Felt listened to my needs and presented a professional, legit course of action to accommodate my request.  On all 3 visits I was greeted with professionalism and a smile by either Erynn or Ryley.  Dr. Felt did an amazing job on a full deep cleaning and two fillings at a fractions of the cost of what others stated.

If you are looking for a dentist in and around the Salt Lake City area... look no further!!!  Dr. Felt is the best there is and I am grateful to have met him.

I had heard about Dr. Felt through a family member, but had been seeing my own dentist up until this point. However, I had the need for a second opinion and decided to give Dr. Felt a go.
I gave Dr. Felt's office a call and got his Executive Assistant (I'd hate to call her a mere receptionist), Erin. She was very professional, yet polite, understanding and even though we were on the phone I could tell she was constantly smiling. We chatted a bit on what I needed. She then, put me at ease over the situation and got me in for a checkup/cleaning within short order.
Faster forward to the day before and i received a text reminding me of my visit. In case I forgot. Very handy.... Then the big day arrived. I showed up a tad earlier and I was glad I did, since there was some basic paperwork to fill out. Once done, Erin Introduced me to Ryley, Dr. Felt's Dental Assistant, who took me back to where the magic happens. Now Dr. Felt's space is shared by a couple of other dentists. So Ryley and I shared a few words while we walked the short distance to the far end of the work area. Again, like Erin, she was polite and full of smiles, but with an air of professionalism. While we walked I was stuck by how modern and clean the place seemed. However at the same time, it felt comfortable and dare I say... inviting?
After no more than a minute or so, we were there. To the place I would spend the next 30-60 minutes and I felt no dread at what was to happen. Ryley motioned to the chair, then took her leave and I sat down after putting my personal items aside. The dentist chair was pretty standard and mostly comfortable. I looked around the room and again felt that clean, modern and comfortable feeling about the place. It was then Dr. Felt arrive.
He was a slightly older gentleman and air of someone who had been doing this for a while. He introduced himself as Dr. Eric Felt and I told an immediate liking to him. He asked my a few questions about my history while he got me ready, then we got down to business. We talked as he worked, him more than me obviously, but I noticed a few things right off the bat. First, he did the work himself. Ryley either prepped or finished. Second, the equipment, such as the x-ray, was, while not bleeding edge, was definitely either leading edge was quite modern. Then third, he keep me in the loop the entire time, whether it be with advice, explanations or simple humor. The work itself was quick, practiced and precise.
Before I new it the exam and cleaning was done. Now came the part I dreaded. The report. Now that's not quite fair. Dr. Felt had kept me informed the entire time, but now he put it in a lump sum. First the good news, my teeth was in good shape, the no so good news I still had two cavities that had to be filled. After he said this he called for Ryley and had her make sure it was marked down and with my nod put me down for a future visit. Dr. Felt went on to say that I had signs of others, but with brushing and some TLC they should be fine. He then thanked me and I him and sent me back to Erin after I collected my personal items.
I met Erin back at her desk at the entrance. She confirmed my future appointment, collected my fee, which was very reasonable, thanked me and bid me farewell.
My final thoughts on this visit. I will be coming back and most likely for a long time. I was impressed. I liked my other dentist just fine, but there was something about Dr. Felt that I just loved. His jovial nature, his professionalism and his knowledge. His staff reflects this too. Kudos all the way around and I hope these words help them out, as they helped me.

This was my first time going to a different dentist, as I’ve had the same dentist since I was young, so I was a bit nervous, but I was immediately greeted with such kindness! The whole staff was so lovely. Dr. Felt was so kind and caring, I could tell he really cared about my well being. I even overheard him and an assistant talking about another patient who wasn’t there, hoping she was feeling better. It’s so nice having a professional genuinely care about the people he sees! They made me feel comfortable and I am glad to have a new dentist that is thorough with his cleaning, and telling me things to help my TMJ! You could tell he was educated and knew what he was talking about. I could go on all day about how nice the assistant and dentist was, but I’ll leave it at that. I don't do well at the dentist.  I go when I have no other choice.  I recently experienced a infected tooth that resulted in having to have it extracted.  I asked around to see if anyone knew of a good dentist and someone suggested Dr. Felt.  I called and spoke to his receptionist who was super nice.  I was impressed with Dr. Felt.  He took his time with me and explained everything.  He wasn't in a hurry when I was in his chair and he took his time.  I really appreciate his patience with me. In a word, trustworthy.

I started coming to Eric on my wife's recommendation after several years of not seeing any dentist at all. My previous experience with dentists was not always great, as it felt like some of them always found something to fix, even if nothing was bothering me.

Eric has his patient's best interest in mind. He always clearly explains recommended treatments, shows you evidence for why it is necessary, and doesn't get itching to drill with every visit.

I trust him to take care of me and my family and happily recommend him to anyone looking for exceptional dentistry, friendly service, and peace of mind.

He's also genuinely friendly and personable. My previous dentist couldn't remember my name without looking at my chart, and even once asked me if I was looking for a dentist while he was treating a friend of mine whom I brought in with a dental emergency.

Eric, on the other hand, takes an actual interest in us and knows about our lives.

Also, his staff is always friendly, courteous, and kind. My experience with him makes me wish I had found him decades ago, as that would have reshaped my opinion of the dental profession.

If you are still reading this and wondering whether he is the right dentist for you, get off the fence and give him a call. You won't regret it!
